Drive Jet Ski on Lanzarote
What Is a Jet Ski?

Correctly we are talking about a “jet boat”. The term “Jet Ski” is actually a trademark secured by Kawasaki. Over the years, however, the name JetSki has become a colloquial name for the vehicle. Like most watercraft, also the Jet Ski is powered by an internal combustion engine. These machines can produce up to 300 HP. An internal propeller generates a powerful jet of water that is ejected to the rear. As a result, the Jet Ski can reach speeds of over 100 km/h. You cannot brake on a Jet Ski. You slow down by stopping to accelerate. For safety, a strap is attached to the driver’s wrist, which is connected to the so-called quick stop. If you fall off the Jet Ski, the connection to the quick stop is interrupted and the machine is stopped immediately. Jet Ski is available as a standing or sitting version. Up to three people can sit on a Jet Ski. On the safaris in Lanzarote, only jet skis are used for sitting.
What Are the Requirements For Jet Skiing in Lanzarote?

To participate in a guided Jet Ski tour in Lanzarote, you do not need a boat license, experience or previous knowledge. The staff of the water sports centers will show you how everything works. You will receive precise instructions and can then start driving. Stopping and steering takes a bit of getting used to, but you will quickly adapt to the behavior of the Jet Ski and will be able to handle this crazy water sports device well.
There are various providers of water sports activities on Lanzarote. Depending on the operator, the obligatory requirements may vary. Most of the time you have to be at least 16 years old to be able to drive a Jet Ski yourself. Co-driving is possible as of 5 years. You always get a life jacket, but you should still be able to swim in any case. You shouldn’t have any serious back and knee problems because the JetSki hits the water quite roughly when crossing a wave. After consuming alcohol or drugs, you certainly have no business on a Jet Ski Safari. In our tour descriptions you can read about the applicable requirements for the participants in detail under “Please note!”.
Would you like to hire a Jet Ski in Lanzarote?

Not everyone wants to go on a tour with others. So why not go on a JetSki alone? Just rent one in closest Jet Ski rental in Lanzarote! This is not that easy, though, because you need a sports boat license to rent Jet Ski. If this is the case, you should inform yourself in advance about the applicable traffic regulations. The Spanish water police patrol a lot and regularly. And the fines in Spain are extremely high. However, if you do not have a license, you can rent a Jet Ski from the local water sports center. You can then drive alone within a designated area. Under no circumstances should you leave this area.
Parasailing Lanzarote
What is Parasailing?

In the 1970s, people were looking for a cheap alternative to skydiving. The fun factor was supposed to be high and the costs comparatively low. Thus they took an umbrella, a rope and a boat and put them together. And that’s how parasailing was invented. The result was so good that the idea to offer parasailing as an activity on the beaches was obvious. So that parasailing began its triumphal march among the beaches of the world and can now be found in almost all holiday destinations – including Lanzarote.
How does Parasailing Work in Lanzarote?

The umbrellas are custom-made and can only be used for parasailing. They have openings that provide the necessary boost. The boats that pull the umbrellas have also been adjusted. In their rear area there is a marked platform from which you start and on which you also land again. You get a harness that consists of a belt for the waist and leg loops. Carabineer hooks are attached to this, which connect you to the frame of the umbrella. When the skipper accelerates the boat, the wind fills the parachute, which then rises up along with you. The skippers must be specially trained, as the umbrellas hang on ropes up to 200 meters long and they must not get tangled. At the same time, your boat must not come too close to the other boats. You will be lifted up to 100 meters heights. From there you have impressive views of your holiday island of Lanzarote.
What Are the Requirements For Parasailing?
You do not need any previous knowledge or experience. The staff of the water sports centers will explain exactly what you need to know before you start. You shouldn’t be afraid of heights. If you want to fly with three people, you can. However, all together must not be heavier than 200 or 240 kg. The actual total weight depends on the type and nature of the parachute in use and can therefore vary depending on the operator. The same applies to the minimum age, which is between 5 and 8 years. Inquire about the requirements of the respective provider in the detailed descriptions of our excursions under “Please Note!”. Also keep in mind that parasailing is very weather dependent. If the weather is not ideal, parasailing can be canceled for security reasons.
Flyboarding Lanzarote
How does a Flyboard Work?

This ridiculous fun machine has been around since 2011 and its worldwide popularity remains unabated to this day. With this two jet nozzles are strapped to your feet. A wide hose is attached to them, through which a Jet Ski pushes a water jet with enormous pressure. This water finally shoots out of the two nozzles on your feet so strongly that it lifts you up into the air. Experienced people can use a hand control to regulate the water output so that they not only float at different heights, but also perform tricks such as pirouettes. A guide takes over the regulation for your flyboard experience in Lanzarote. Once it goes up then you are challenged. You have to keep your body tension and balance. When you find that you can fly safely, try plunging headfirst into the water.
What Should You Watch Out For When Flyboarding?

Depending on the requirements of the respective operator, kids can take off with the flyboard between 12 and 14 years. Most of you have most likely never tried a flyboard before. But that’s not necessary either. No previous knowledge is required. The local water sports team will show you how it’s done. You should be able to float after just a few minutes. It is important, however, that you always follow the instructions given by the guide, otherwise you could injure yourself.
Jet Boat, Banana Boat and More Water Sports Activities in Lanzarote
Is a Ride on the Banana Boat off Lanzarote Fun?

Resisting centrifugal forces only works to a certain extent. You will also experience this on the Banana Boat. The guide on the Jet Ski accelerates and pulls the boat behind him over the waves. And while you are still trying to hold onto the strap with both hands, the guide suddenly swings around. All passengers scream and half of them are thrown into the water. But don’t worry; no one will be left behind. You climb on again and the whole thing starts once more. Everyone has one thing in common: great fun. That is why a ride on the Banana Boat in Lanzarote is an absolute must for all fun lovers.
Have You Ever Driven a Crazy Jet Boat?

The most spectacular boat tour in Lanzarote is the one with the Crazy Jet Boat without a doubt. With this special boat, the name says it all. Its acceleration is insane. It does pirouettes, jumps over waves, turns 360 degrees and even dives under water completely. No one will be dry anymore after this adventure. Only one thing counts for you on this tour: Fasten your seat belt because it will be crazy.
What Are Watersport Combo Packages?
The combined packages include a range of different water sports activities. These packages are designed to give you a price advantage. Because the total price for this package is much cheaper than the respective individual prices. Depending on the type of activities included, you can experience several hours of action, sports or relaxation. Imagine for example: You start with parasailing and you go on a Jet Ski safari afterwards. And if that’s not enough: go ahead with a few crazy laps on the Crazy Jet Boat. And at the end of every combination package there is an unforgettable day on the beach.
Where Can You Experience Water Sports Activities in Lanzarote?

You can find water sports activity provider in most tourist centers in Lanzarote. Jet Ski & Co. are waiting for you on the beach of Costa Teguise. There is also a water sports center in Puerto del Carmen. There you can take off for parasailing, for example. In Arrecife you will find an operator that specializes in Jet Ski Safaris. And in the resort Playa Blanca you can take part in a wide variety of water sports activities.
What Should You Bring to Water Sports Activities?
- Sunscreen: Is one of the most important utensils. It is best to apply sun care before leaving the accommodation. On the beach you should then repeat the process. It is important that the sunscreen used has a high sun protection factor and is waterproof.
- Swimsuits and changing clothes: It is best to have your bikini or swimming trunks on. Don’t forget to pack change clothes because there is no water sport activity that will not get you wet.
- Bath towel: Needed of course to dry off and if you plan to spend some time on the beach.
What Else Should You Pay Attention to?
Life jackets are mandatory for all activities on the water. Therefore, you always get this from the operator free of charge. Sunglasses, cell phones and cameras are not allowed on the water. In addition to the safety aspect, it is not only annoying to lose such things in the sea, but also the resulting pollution of the ocean is critical. You can have your utensils safely stored in a locker of the organizer. Participation in any water sport activities is not recommended during pregnancy. The same applies if you suffer from heart or lung problems.
In the detailed descriptions of the individual excursions you will find these notes and specifications to the respective activity under the menu items “Please Note!” and “Services & Prices”.
